We are changing our method of communication for the annual greetings. We know many of you follow Susan or Gene on Facebook. You know of our travels and adventures. We decided that the money expended on cards. pictures, and stationary could be better used by the non profits we support. This year those dollars are going to Burton Bridge Ministry. The agency serves a community near Brenham with food distribution, home repair, clothing, and other social services.
We are grateful for continued good health. We even got a one year reprieve from the dermatologist. Susan is experiencing issues with spinal stenosis but able to continue most activities. It’s not a pain issue but neuropathy that creates problems walking.
Chris and Katherine soon will soon be empty nesters. Madie is a 21 year old senior at Texas Lutheran. Ben and Ainsley are seniors at Conroe High looking toward their own colleges. Chris continues as senior pastor at Tree of Life and Katherine is teaching in a private school.
Dave and Sarah are busy at various activities connected with church and other organizations while keeping up with Meagan who is in 8th grade. Dave continues at the College of Pharmacy while Sarah has accepted a new position as Director of Patient Safety for Memorial Hermann.
For those wanting advance warning of where the pictures will appear from Susan, we travel to Barcelona in April then Paris to take a Viking river cruise to Zurich. In August, we will travel from St Paul to St Louis. In September, we will travel from Quebec City to Baltimore. In October we will travel from Tokyo to Bangkok. Most of these adventures are recovery trips from Covid cancellations in 2020-21. Her camera will be busy.
