I was experimenting with capturing movement. What struck me about this wind ornament was that the static part is clear as can be and the movement is just a dark blur. I know that if I had set my camera I could have caught both parts just as clearly, but this seems to reflect my life more. What is stable and unchanging in my world and what is just a momentary blur? If I catch my life in just an instant everything seems to be unchanging, but that’s not true. I need to accept that many things are just a blur. What’s important are the unchanging parts. Now to figure out what those parts are.
